Heya folks.
Has anyone tried Reforgenator or Ask Mr. Robot? I'm trying to get to CTC on Sal, but it's tough figuring out what to reforge, etc.

I haven't had to go too crazy that with reforging so far, but when I did, I used http://www.wowreforge.com.
Re: Reforging mods
I just hit passive CTC myself. Math is actually not that hard, just go with the numbers listed on your character sheet (they already take into account diminishing returns). 5% (miss) + dodge chance + parry chance + block chance. Target number is 102.4%
Regarding reforging for CTC specifically, it all works out to a simple prioritization: always reforge everything you can into mastery, and prioritize dodge over parry (this is a bit counter intuitive... but you get plenty of parry from stats. also remember kings buffs your str/parry a little). The only time I reforged from dodge over parry (into mastery of course) was when the piece had so much more itemization spent into dodge (brackenshell shoulderplates).
Also, warriors pretty much have to rely on food buff/elixirs, since we don't get as much CTC from mastery as paladins. I still need food buff for full CTC myself.
I had a look at Salessa's armory, I think your reforging is optimized correctly as is. How high does your dodge chance get when your trinket is fully charged? you can check pretty easily by hitting a target dummy and checking your character sheet then. If you still have more parry than dodge (like a difference of more than 1%), then it might be worth reforging some of your parry into dodge. I try to get them pretty even before considering procs (trinkets/windwalker).
Well done on gearing Sal out BTW

16.05 dodge when the trinket is in full force. I was thinking of getting the mastery trinket, but maybe I should get the VP boots first?hung wrote:I just hit passive CTC myself. Total, I'm at... 91% before consumables, Windwalk and Shield Block.
And thanks. ^^; I still feel like 11% is too much of a loss right now, though. >.<
Re: Reforging mods
Yeah... bottom line, when we're talking progression, we want to do everything possible to eliminate the chance of an unmitigated hit. Regular melee hits remain the #1 source of tank dmg in most boss fights.
Last time we attempted Zon'ozz, I had 99% CTC coverage before procs (<3% chance of a hit getting in). Basically, i'd be fine as long as shield block/trink/something was up, but if a single unmitigated hit sneaked through close to spell blast, it was pretty much insta-gib/wipe. Which of course happened on every attempt.
With full CTC, I can now say with confidence: the boss will only ever hit me for 0, 40%, or 70% dmg. Never 100%.
