Video Games Live on PBS in August

For those of you who don't know what Video Games Live is... they are a symphony who plays video game music. I was first introduced to them at Blizzcon 2007, when they gathered us all into the arena and had them play the Blizzard music for us. I was absolutely floored just how amazing the WoW music really is. I mean I listen to it while playing the game, but it never really sank in. Sitting there having it played for me by a symphony with a chorus just left me speechless. The music is very awe-inspiring when you're not distracted by posting your auctions or running to raid.

I was very saddened when VGL didn't come back for Blizzcon 2009. I guess it says something about me when I'd much rather see a symphony than a head liner rocker like Ozzy Osborne =]

In any case, there's a special on them coming to PBS in August.

I saw a story about them recently on Tomshardware and linked it on my facebook for some to see as well. I'm really looking forward to it, I'd never heard of them before.
