I'd say that's all the more reason to not tank them. Then they just stay at max range shooting shadow bolts at healers (or highest aggro targets) who can absorb shadow dmg as well as tanks.
Add spwn timer is reported to be 40 secs

So let's break this down:
Raid positioning: we're going to have a bunch of melee split into two teams, one right side, one left side, with everyone else in behind Deathwhisper's starting position. If we have less than 8 melee dps, I'm going to make sure we have 4 reliable dps on either side. We'll have one healer and one tank assigned to each DPS group, and one free tank to pick up stragglers and to grab deformed fanatics so they can be kited. I'd prefer that one guy with a reliable dispel be with the adds (unless they don't work on 25-man?) so we can get rid of the Empowered buff on Adherents.
Target prioritization: I believe we should prioritize Adherents as they're the most dangerous when Empowered. Debate is welcome on this one, since I'm still not quite sure.
Transition: When her mana is at a low number (let's say around 7% or so, that'll let dots tick down), we'll take a look at when the next adds are coming in. If they're not coming in any time soon, we'll continue the nuke and go to phase 2 normally. If they are coming in soon, stop DPS and focus on adds! This is a common cause of wipes.
Phase 2 note: When a ghost reaches you, it EXPLODES. It does 25k damage when it explodes. This is VERY significant! If a ghost is coming after you, RUN AND DO NOTHING BUT RUN. If the ghost reaches you, you will not only very likely die, but you'll take a couple of raid members with you!

I couldn't be sure from the video, but it looked to me like there were 2 tank positions. Looking from behind DW, one tank was on the left where the adds spawn, and one tank was right at where DW is. That's what I thought anyway.
So the DW tank stays there and grabs the right-side mobs (or they come towards DW anyway from healing/other aggro). This way, range DPS, sitting behind and to the left of DW can, when called upon, do damage to both sets of adds. Healers in the same position, can heal both sets of tanks.
I could be wrong, but that's what it looked like on the vid.
