Soon as they implement a training dummy that roams around randomly, and occasionally you need to back off from or else get one-shotted, we'll see real numbers.Camyu wrote:OK so I know what's going on now... The people on mmo are saying that if hunters are topping the dps charts in your guild, that means the rogues and warlocks in your guild suck... :| :? It's always the rogues' fault...
Cuz see, that's the thing, it's not about how big your numbers are, it's the balance of: everyone stays alive, healers don't run oom (assisted by people not standing in fire), and dps does enough to beat enrage timers. 'Enough' is usually a raid-wide average, not class X vs class Y. Rogue dps being 'low' on a fight is usually them having to run the heck away from instant death.
Those "people" on public forums would like to take an instance of one fight to point out, "Oh look! the hunter came out on top! That means all you other dps are /gkicked" without understanding how boss fights really work. They're not training dummies, it's more complicated than that.
