Well, we know we have more than 10 potential raiders. Plus even if we set a roster, we know that it's subject to change. What happened in BC was we took the first 10, then as more people wanted in, some people would offer their spot, but once we're full, we were full. Maybe what we need to do is go by the in-game calendar signups, and just try to rotate in people as possible.
Also, let's remember we do still have the option of running Naxx: it's gold, shards & dust, something to do, possible fun with alts- not a wasted effort.

Don't forget, yesterday was also cinco de drinko.
I had guests over myself, only popped on for less than a minute when I finished patching...it was a nice break from working on wedding stuff.
(I hadn't run the patcher since the Uldar release, so was curious if my talent points needed resetting again or not)
I should be back online again in June, once all this wedding stuff is done with and life can resume as normal.

Re: What happened Tuesday?
To suggest that a raid that people do on an offday is "over" is sort of not cool to me. I understand this is not a hardcore guild, but some of us do enjoy a little more raiding in our diet, and Wednesday seems to be a day where a 10 man works.hung wrote: But we need to realize that the days of raiding 25 T/TH and succeeding at 'Undying' on Wed are over, at least for now.
I think everyone needs to relax a bit. Yesterday was a holiday a lot of people partake in. Very recently we had like 35 people online and a full raid for ulduar within 10 min of posted raid time. Also there's a group of folks leveling up now that might be able to join us occasionally. I'm probably one of the more hardcore raiders in the guild and am also disappointed we didn't do a 25 man but a lot was going on with some key folks last night and it's probably an aberration. We missed a whole week of Naxx raiding about 6 weeks ago and the next week it was back to normal.
Re: What happened Tuesday?
First of all, I think the Tuesday attendance for 25 has nothing to do with the Wednesday 10. Tuesday/Thursday are the days for our normal 25. Any day that do not start with the letter T is therefore free for anyone to organize anything on their own. So 10 people privately shown interest to raid together on a so-call "off day", and have been doing for weeks. I don't see any problem with that. I think it makes perfect sense for those people (who for the most part actually did show up on Tuesday 25) to not wanna be doing Tuesday 10, because they have already committed to do it on Wednesday. I cannot blame them for it.
That means, the rest of us who are not part of the Wednesday 10 group, should get together and try to form a second 10, and we will stick to our Tuesday/Thursday schedule, and will raid as 10 if 25 is not happening. This will give us something to fall back on, until more lazy asses (or people with RL things going on) start showing up on Tue/Thu again, and then we can switch back to 25. Besides, Ulduar 10 is a progression from any Naxx, and we should be doing it.
Also, I'm suggesting that this Tuesday 10 group should welcome alts, especially since there aren't enough mains logging on on Tue/Thu in the first place. However, the rule of mains before alts when it comes to loot should still be respected, because it is still a progression from Naxx, and we should be allowing mains to receive loot first. Plus, shouldn't you be bringing your main to Tuesday 10, unless you're already part of the Wednesday 10, meaning you already got a chance to get upgrades as a main?
I think someone who is interested in organizing the Tuesday/Thursday fall-back 10 should set it on the guild calendar next time he/she logs in to make it official, and see what attendance we can get, beginning Thursday (tomorrow). If we get 25 people, we do Ulduar 25, if not, at least 10 people get to raid on the scheduled days.

Cannot speak for Mara but coming from a guild that raided frequently (2-3 days a week), I will be looking to do end content on a regular basis.Terry | Saerra wrote:Also there's a group of folks leveling up now that might be able to join us occasionally.

Agree. Point out that I can only ever play on tuesday or thursday.Yryche wrote:What I have a hard time understanding is why don't people want to be there to learn the new content? Isn't that the fun of it? Once things hit farm mode and everybody and their dog gets easy lootz, the fun is gone. It's just going through the motions at that point. I don't even like reading strats for the first few tries; I'd rather die horribly in a fire that I didn't know was coming at least a couple of times. Have we lost the sense of adventure? Nothing feels better than beating your head on a tough encounter and then beating it! Especially with such great friends as we have here. Is it more fun to actually accomplish something tough, or to have strats hand fed to you after the fact?
