Re: Highmaul Raid Logs
Ok, noticed a minor thing in the fight analysis which I'd like to understand if the mechanics are overriding my abilities or the analysis is wrong.
https://www.warcraftlogs.com/reports/Hw ... on&fight=1
Kora'gh normal - Expel Magic: Fire... I'm way up there for 7 hits dealt. The thing is I almost immediately use [Cloak of Shadows] to cleanse it off myself. Subsequently the debuff counter goes away, the visual goes away, I take no damage, and do not seem to be affected... so I'm not actively working to get outside the 5 yard DBM radius map ...But... If the debuff is cleansed, how come the analysis is still registering hits dealt to other players... and does it matter? The reasons I can think is maybe when he casts that debuff and we all start pulsing with flames...
1) I was just in a terrible location that fight prior to CoS which resulted in my hitting everyone
2) Even tho removed from myself, Expel Magic: Fire has an internal/hidden marker that's still striking other players
EDIT: Further from the dispel tab... https://www.warcraftlogs.com/reports/Hw ... ls&fight=1
While Rogue CoS (both mine and Eberia's) is not listed as dispell on the left, on the right, notice on the right how my timer always ends first due to CoS.
Maybe I should just play better safe than sorry?

Responding to Eisen:
You should actually NOT be trying to self cleanse.
This is because the debuff actually has two components.
1- A small DoT for the duration
2- A large dmg AoE explostion (5 yd) that triggers when the debuff expires.
#2 happens instantly when you cleanse the debuff.
Ergo, self cleanse only saves you the personal DoT. This is at the cost of hurting your fellow melee however.

Ah ha. If that's true, I should get outside the 5 yard radius, _then_ cleanse.
