Datacrons! And Matrix Cubes!
Re: Datacrons! And Matrix Cubes!
This is for my own reference when we hit 50:
*Assuming everything goes right this is what happens*
First you have to get a MGGS (Magnetic Grappling Gun) for 10K on Alderaan, then go to this remote & random part of Correllia to a box and pick up a "Red Crystal".. then you find the 'Unmarked' Elevator on Gav Dargon to go to the Museum... Once in the museum you have to fire the cannon of a walker to blow open a door, walk through and around to get a "Blue Crystal" Once you've got the crystals you have to climb up to a statue that is missing 1 red crystal - insert the Crystal then press a button that uses your Blue Crystal to short circuit a nearby security field. This opens the door to like a maintenence / ventillation area and then the FUN begins..
It requires 4+ people you have to have 3 people press consoles at 1 time to let some one run across a electronic bridge that only stays up for 10 seconds, once across that person can press 1 of the 3 matching consoles on that side to allow 1 person across and you do this until everyone is across... (This is SUPER easy if you have 6+ people)
Then you have to have members of the team jump onto tubes, pipes, metal beams and get to buttons. 2 members have to press a pair at the same time which then will activate "magnetic fields" on walls where you have to Hookshot yourself up to ledges... once the 2 players get up on the ledges they have to press a pair of buttons to active 2 seperate "magnetic fields" this allows 1 member to press 1 final button (Which can only be used if the other fields are all active) once pressed you have less than 1 minute to work your way to hookshot 2 times to get to a door.. go through the door click on a final door and you get a BADASS cutscene of your guy walking into a room of 6 datacrons that lift him up and swirl around him and you get +10 to ALL stats..
While you're doing this you can fall to your death from a poorly aimed MGGS shot, bugging and it slamming you into something and dying.. it dropping you in random places.. falling off the metal, ect ect.. if a member dies they have to spawn inside the museum and 3 members have to reopen the bridge again with the consoles.
It's REALLY fun, took us a long time because the replublic fleet version of this is bugged and 1 of the magnetic fields shoots you THROUGH the room and onto the top of the ship.. we tried this for 2 hours before we finally got it to work properly.

... what the hell.
That's insane - +10 to all stats is nice, but... O.o

Re: Datacrons! And Matrix Cubes!
reading that reminded me of the old SNES era easter eggs, like the megamanX hadoken/shoryuken ...
Re: Datacrons! And Matrix Cubes!
And this is why the majority of people want to find the game designer who thought this whole "datacron" thing was a good idea... and punch him in the nuts.

These remind me of the way you get the ultimate weapons for your characters in the Final Fantasy series. Jump 200 lightning bolts without missing one. Ugh.
