Re: Cats! Ah~ up on the Auction House!
So an interesting tidbit from the FAQ:
I'm curious to see how much they're going to sell for. I figure somewhere in the 10k-20k range right off the bat. I suspect they'll drop down to about the same price as the jousting pets after the first rush(2-3k?)
When they originally announced the pet, I figured people would try and find buyers first and then spend the $10. This way you have to buy them up front and then sell them. If the pet doesn't sell, you're out your $10 and have a pet.You can either use the item yourself to permanently add the pet to your character's collection (consuming the item in the process), or -- after an initial 24-hour cooldown period -- you can trade the item to another player so he or she can add it to one of their character's collections

There is a 24 hour waiting period after you get the item while it is still soulbound. After that time, it unbinds and can be sold. So we can attribute at least 24 hours of that to just inability to list.

This is true, though sales opened up at noon yesterday. I figured someone would go "OMG CATS" and do it via the web interface or something.Werehamster wrote:There is a 24 hour waiting period after you get the item while it is still soulbound. I wonder what the initial prices are going to be.

Hmm. They don't seem to show up on the web or remote AH app.
Has anyone seen what they've actually sold for? I saw them for 14k or so last night.

I tried to look it up on the underminejournal and found this:

As for your answer, Pocky, I'm not sure we'll ever actually get an answer. Blizzard doesn't provide data on what items sell for... just what they're list/bid price. The best one can hope for is inference. If you query often enough and see an item up for <12hrs, you can assume it sold.
mmochampion had this picture earlier. Whatever server this is has the pets up for less than I'd expectGuardian Cub not in Blizzard Data!
November 3rd
Unfortunately, the new Guardian Cub pet is not included in the auction data we get from Blizzard. While the pet may be on your auction house in-game, it is not shown on the WoW Remote Auction House or via the Blizzard API.
Please visit this Battle.net forum thread and reply to let Blizzard know that you want to see the Guardian Cub prices online!

Hmm. Prices seem to be semi-stable around 8-9000.
Gah, this is so fascinating to me...
