Nice!

So basically you can transmogrify an heirloom, but it has to be to something that your ALT has. You can't transmogrify your heirloom to something that your main has and mail it to your alt. I wonder if your alt has to be able to wear the gear yet. If I have a clothy and want to put them in the black mageweave gear... so I craft it and put it in my alts bank. I can't wear it until my mid-40s... but can I transmogrify it at 1? I'd think no.

How to play lookalike:

http://www.wowheadnews.com/blog=194683/ ... -character
This article has some item sets that allows you you to look like some of your favorite NPCs to guards to quartermasters. I'm not hugely interested in looking like anything in there, but it's neat to look at.

Now THIS is a much more interesting site. They are upfront that they're a role playing site. They're sets may or may not be available for transmogrification. They were around for the looks before. It's well organized by armor type and other stuff. They also have teir sets.

http://wowrpc.waddellconsulting.com/
She has a fun site but maybe not hugely useful. She's a RPer and a lot of her sets are not mogable. She has sets for everything though. I liked looking through her gear for bank alts. Gear for low level toons to make them look cool.

What am I going to do? It's still up in the air. I'm not really a huge fan of any of the druid teir sets. I'm slightly leaning towards T2(collecting). T11 has it's merits (still need the head and is a bit too new). The only tier set I'm actually really taken with I'll never own. The heroic moonkin T12 set is a pretty stunning bluish purple. I may go with something simple like one of the classic leather sets or just ignore transmogrification altogether.

This addon was reviewed today on wowinsider
http://wow.joystiq.com/2011/09/22/addon ... ith-mogit/
http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addo ... mogit.aspx

From what I read it's basically a item database organized by item type and look with a model viewer. This is exactly what one needs for transmogrification. If you have lets say a two-handed sword and think it's ugly, you can go and look at the two-handed swords. Find one you like and then say, "I want it in blue". It'll tell you where to go farm.

From what they said, it is nicely modularized, so it won't load huge databases unless you ask. This means it won't slow you down when raiding.

I'm gonna install it tonight and poke around.

So I played with Mogit a little bit this morning. It really like shopping. You say, "Show me leather helms for druids" and viola out a scrollable 3x2 grid of of nelfs with leather helms on. It showed everything from tier to drops to quest rewards going back to classic. It obviously doesn't have all them, but the most notable ones. I think there were <100. I looked at both head and chest.

Now the one part I couldn't figure out how to do is how to assemble outfits. The is this "wishlist" feature. I didn't look too closely at that. I figure you can use that. The feature I was looking for was a blank model that you could somehow add/swap items and at the end come up with a whole ensemble. It may still provide this feature. I didn't have a huge amount of time to look at the addon this morning. It does allow you to use the standard dressing room. If you got naked, I think you that might work.

There is one more notable thing it does. When you hover over a piece of gear in your inventory, it adds a rotating naked model of you wearing it to the tool tip. I found this quite distracting, so I turned it off... but It could be very useful when searching the bank for looks of items. Just hover and see what it looks like.

So, if anyone is leveling an alt and hits the 40s or so... if you see any of the plate "Jade" set (Jade Leggings, etc.), please send them to Salessa. I will pay for them.

Thanks!

I don't know if everyone has seen this on wowhead
http://www.wowhead.com/transmog-sets#gallery

I kinda tripped over it a week or so ago. They added pretty pictures to armor sets. You hover over an armor set and see it on a model. It's quite cool.

It says 1149 armor sets. It looks like there are some filters you can apply to get just the armor sets you want to look at (armor type, quality, source, etc).
