Faster riding speed

Post by tethealla »

The new 310% Speed Flying Mount skill costs 5000 gold to train. People who already own a 310% flying mount get it for free.
For those of us who don't have our violet proto drake, this might be a good reason to finish up Glory of the Ulduar Raider: http://www.wowhead.com/achievement=2957

Or maybe some Phoenix farming (IMHO: coolest mount in the game)

Chamomile has wanted to start farming for the phoenix mount ever since we discovered that we can 6-man it.

Phoenix mount would indeed be fun to go after (esp. since it's among the coolest looking), I just don't know the time involved since I've never seen Kael'Thas (although it's doable as a 6-man now). Another 310 flying mount to remember is Sarth 3 drake that we can do pretty quickly.

The Sarth 3d mount is only 280.

http://www.wowhead.com/items=15.-7?filt ... emely+fast

That is the list of 310 speed mounts. Half or more of those are not obtainable any more.

I know Andy and I are only one achievement away (One Light in the Darkness) from the Glory of the Ulduar Raider :) Seriously, no one here has had enough practice on Yogg, not even on normal, so I don't expect to get it any time soon, but we should be able to do it given enough tries.

I think fast mounts aside, if we want to dedicate certain days of the week to farm stuff (and I think Mimiron-HM besides Yogg is not quite on farm status), they should be set up on the calendar by whoever wants to do it, and just do achievements that count towards the fast drake, if that's the purpose of such a run.

If there was the desire (and time) of the people that have run Ulduar in the past, I believe we would get this knocked out in probably 3 raid nights...with spending the 3rd night just on Yogg (we would get him down in 2-3hrs tops). It just depends if that group could be available considering our other raid nights...I think it is just a matter of available time not whether we could actually do it or not...

Ya know....I'd be up for BC raids....especially ones I've raided, but have never seen the end of....SSC, TK, MH.

If someone posts it up and wants to try it I'd be up for it! :)

Maybe I should find some Disappointment Tour thread and perform necromancy on it...
Besides working on Glory of the Udluar Raider, maybe we can have another timeslot for a team of 6-10 to do TK. Given how the xpac seems to be winding down and fewer need ICC10 (we have weeks where we don't even go, nevermind hardmode runs), we could even do those on Thursdays. TK and Ulduar for on-topic fast mounts, or off-topic achievement runs.
