Dedicated Few Immortal Naxx

Post by Camyu »

Also known as "Immortal Naxx 20 Or Less" - I had originally put an event up for tonight but few people (less than 11) have actually looked at it and responded. So I have since cancelled it.

Just wanna know these are two achievements we should be able to do easily as long as people don't die to bosses, can dance, and can tell positives from negatives. Maybe putting this up the day before for a Wednesday is a bad idea. Maybe next Monday?

A week in advance would help, but I'm sure enough people are interested in this, more Sarth 3D, and other achievements/raids.
Though I have to admit to not having seen the calendar notice... maybe with all the new armory functionality, there's a way to subscribe to the guild calendar RSS feed.

My first thought was an RSS calendar feed wouldn't be available due to the fact that you had to log on to get to the guild calendar. I decided to log on and poke around and found something. It isn't an RSS feed... it's an ics feed. What you get is a feed which you can point your calendar software at (mac Ical, outlook, google, etc) and it will show you your wow calendar events in your normal every day calendar.

I have no idea if this will get you anywhere (might require login session): http://www.wowarmory.com/vault/calendar-feed.xml
That is the URL which lets you set up the feed. You have a choice to include raid lockout releases, darkmoon fairs, holidays, etc.

It includes a generated security code, so you wouldn't want to generate one and willy nilly hand it out, but here is an example. It's for an alt on ET.

http://www.wowarmory.com/feeds/private/ ... cale=en_US

Copy and paste that into your browser and you'll see the raw RFC 2447 ics format which your calendar software uses.

So I could see the following working
1) choose a toon to for our calendar
2) always invite said toon to all raids
3) through the wow armory, create a ics feed for said toon
4) install calendar software connected to our forums
5) subscribe to ics feed in #3.

EDIT: It eventually showed up in google calendar... just took a while
http://www.google.com/calendar/embed?sr ... os_Angeles
That is the HTML export of the above in my google calendar

OK enough screwing around with ical feeds... back to work

I've already got both of these, but I'm willing to help out if I'm needed.

I am as always interested. I admit I was a little less interested last night, but that had to do with being closer in condition to a zombie than human. Other than cases of near-zombification I'm up for it any time and place so long as I know with a few day notice.

I can breathe again! Let me know a week or so in advance and I can clear time for it.

I also promise not to stand in Saph's deep breath.

Setting this for Monday 19th the next time I log on.

From previous run of Naxx 10 Undying, we zoomed through the place in 245 gear in about 90 minutes. For time reference, the Heigan10 dance with melee was going fine, but the range never got to join the dance cuz boss was already dead by then.
