A bunch of us go way back to EQ where we met on the Povar server and eventually ended up in WoW together. I formed Deln'Aesik again when WoW launched, then quit after 2 years. Cenon (being the ambitious little gnome he is) eventually moved to Uldum and recruited a bunch of us former DA members, even drawing me out of retirement.

Though we're kinda measuring this in degrees-of-Dom, I wanna mention that Daewen used to be on Icecrown too, in Khaz Modan Brigade (pre-BC), and Outland Expeditionary Force (BC). KMB was the one that stalled in AQ40 and just plain failed in Naxx. So angry little Gnoob (the gnome warr MT, raid leader) split the 'elite' into OEF, but they barely had the right raid makeup for a clear or two of kara before he exploded, sharded his gear, and quit WoW (and actually took what was left of the guild to LotRO). By which point I was happy to move Dae over here. =)

But hey, I remember Deln'Aesik, if not people specifically.

I am Cenon's girlfriend of 6+ years to date, lived through WoW gathering and conversations for years without knowing what you guys are talking about, and finally gave in on August 7, 2008 when I installed it on my laptop. It's a lot more fun than I ever expected
I also know Dom, Andy, Luke, and Brad in real life through IRC before playing WoW. (did I miss anyone?)

I met Dom through Ian and Matt who met him trough webcomics. We moved from Elune over to here a few years ago.

I was in CAA with Dom, and Andy, and other people... plus on IRC with Camyu and other people. Coworkers with Gerald, and Adam, and Chris- thus connected to Yvonne through Gerald. Originally I was on FFXI with Andy, and quit that well before him to start a number of horde toons (highest is a level 70 druid, what a waste.)

I'm Kevin (logos and kant) and, as all roads go through Dom in some way, Dom's cousin by marriage. I started on Uldum on the first day it opened. My wife, Bao, and I drove up to Marin to get her a copy the next day since WoW was sold out everywhere else. We played on Uldum together up through level 50ish before we got some other relatives and friends to join our server: Hien (Autolux, kenpoka), Joe Fanvu (fhatee, Mufhintop), Dom, and a few others, and then we founded Schadenfreude. We were a small guild then and getting 5 of us on was a stretch, but then more close friends and relatives joined and we might've found ourselves in UBRS every once in a while. And now look at us! Bao (fenneshade, and phaner - our original guild MT) and I live in SF where Bao works at her restaurant Zadin and I do web stuff. We live in the same house as Truc (umfufu - our original MH) and John Burns (platypus) and Jaime (lemeeng). Side Note: When Bao and I first left Darnassus and made our way to Menethil, we wanted to make it to Iron Forge and see the big city. We were country bumpkins and thought the road looked too long and too dangerous. So we thought it would be much quicker to simply swim south. So we did. But once we got to IF, we couldn't land anywhere so we kept going. We swam all the way to Stormwind (3 hours) laughing our asses off the whole way at how stupid we were. Things haven't changed that much. So the next time I wipe the raid or light my trashcan on fire and yell something incomprehensible over TS, just think about a 3-hour swim from Menethil to Stormwind and silently *nod* your head and let it pass.

I'm Greg (Norfolk & Torqmada), and Ga's (Dom's) cousin by marriage. I started on Frostwolf with some friends and a few of their LAN buddies opening night after waiting in line at Frys for the midnight release party.

I believe it was on a Christmas trip up to Redwood City with my wife Kim, that I learned about the family playing on Uldum and when I got back began my exodus from Frostwolf since most of them had turned into hardcore raiders like I had been during my years of EQ, while I wanted to play casually since I'd long ago gotten that out of my system. I'm still working on getting Kieu (my sister-in-law) to play, but the closest I can get Kim to gaming is Rockband 2, Wii Sports & Miniature golf on the Wii.

I suppose I started this thread but didn't actually tell anyone who I was...

I'm Andy -- I've already been mentioned a few times in this thread already. I went to college with Luke, and indirectly met Dom and a few others through the anime club as well. (He joined after I was gone) I currently live with Hung and Jenny. I also know Cliff and Avri through other gaming-related activities. I am one of the Elune refugees, where I originally created Werehamster because that's where the Real Life Comics affiliated guild (United Order of Virtue) was, and I had previously played FFXI with them as well (Cliff among others). I created my now-bank-alt mage on Uldum to hang out, but then transfered Werehamster when I found I liked you guys better.
