Get well soon, John. Damn.

Major losses:

56 glacial salmon
13 fish feasts
All of our blue gems
The 3 or so purple gems that were still in there
Our complete stash of mana/healing pots
Not very many flasks (we were low anyway)
The blues we didn't want anyway
1 Tankard of Terror
Plans: Ensorcelled Nerubian Breastplate
Plans: Sunforged Breastplate
8 Heartseeker Scopes

I hope they do fix this quickly. They sure didn't last time, and we never did recover the GB losses.

I think I need to strongly advocate again some changes to our GB access in light of this event- which is nobody's fault, as we're all victims to this crime.
I understand that only Fhatee really has the ability to do this, but as soon as we can we ought to change the guild ranks/access, reflecting whether or not you have a Blizz Authenticator (app); the initiate rank should be for those without one, no bank access. the 'Bank' rank should just go away. And the Alt/Main ranks should REQUIRE having an authenticator. In which case we can then also bump up the access from 5 stacks to 99 for ranks with authenticators. And we REALLY should have authenticators for Kevin & Joe since they have founder/GM accounts.

The Authenticators are fairly cheap, but I'm sure we have more than a few magnanimous benefactors in the guild too.

Yeah I agree with Tony here, there's so much of this going around that we should take steps to make sure to minimize our losses using authenticators.

With that in mind, I have 3 spares lying around. 1 is now spoken for, but I can toss 2 over to people who are in need of them

I'm planning on ordering an authenticator today (wife approved it) when I get to work in a bit. I have no idea how it would've happened, since I've never bought gold or followed any suspicious links or anything. I was researching stuff on holy paladins the past few days and was following some links on google to sites like holypaladin.net, thats the only thing I can think of :( Hopefully they dont take forever to get my account back, whoever stole it merged it with a battle.net account -_-;;

Damn. That stinks.

I will get an authenticator, and I'll talk to Joe about giving me GM. Or have him log on to make all the changes to status and bank access.

Has a ticket been started to recoup the losses?

OK. I've purchased an authenticator - it'll be here in a few days. Some guilds restrict bank access to only those people with authenticators. We could also simply lock certain tabs so you can't withdraw anything from them unless you have an authenticator or are of a specific rank. It's not hard to either make a request for an item in-game to someone who has access or on the forums. Certain items (like mana pots or green gems) can be on a free-for-all tab, while epic plans and flasks and the like should be on restricted tabs. I'm open to suggestions.

Partly I don't want to change how we currently have the GB organized. It's a lot of stuff to split into free/restricted access, and even then it means those of us with access have to manage shifting things between tabs to make them available/put them in restricted access. That sort of method is better suited to recruiting guilds with many strangers. Personally I'd rather chip in and make sure that all my friends are unhackable.

I thought everyone knew this, but just to reiterate, there is a free iPhone authenticator for those with iPhones. There are also authenticator programs for other phone types (which may or may not have a slight fee)
