I think it's pretty reasonable to expect that a person can use the item they are given, i.e., if they don't have anywhere near enough emblems to use the token, and they won't likely have enough emblems for a while, they can safely be passed up. Especially as long as they know this going in.

If someone is just starting to ramp up their char and have been on a lot lately, but still aren't anywhere near the point where they could purchase a new item, then it's harder to say No to them, but most people fit into the "casual" or "serious" category a little better. I doubt this will be a big issue. Christ - I didn't even know about them and I like to play pretty frequently (sorry I missed tonight).

Update: The Trophies of the Crusade only drop 1-per-boss in 25-man ToC. In 10-man ToC, they come from the tribute chest at the end!

25+ attempts left: 2 trophies.
45+ attempts left: 4 trophies.
50 attempts left: ??????

So we won't have to worry about trophies JUST yet - but it's good to have concensus on this anyway.

Wait, you mean heroic? ToGC 10? They're in the tribute chest?? That means we *have* to be able to beat heroic to get anything for it. And we want to do it in less than 6 wipes!

well regular 10 man drops ilvl 232, while heroic 10 man drops ilvl 245. Right?
So that's our incentive. Trophies at the end is like super extra rewards for clearing hard modes with attempts to spare?

*edit: according to MMO champion loot tables, hard mode 10 drops the exact same gear as reg 10 (same name/models) but scaled to match the higher ilvl.

50 attempts left = also 4 trophies. There's a world-first Tribute to Insanity (10 players) achievement posted on MMO champion.

50 attempts left: 4 trophies + achievement + 1 epic ground mount
