Hard mode (3-minute) Hodir

Any DPS caster with the Toasty Fire buff will also apply the Singed to Hodir, which increases magic damage taken. This can stack up to 25 times, increasing all spell damage taken by 50%.
The strategy I see working is this:

2-3 dps casters (boomkin, mage, elemental shammy?)
2 healers (Were and 1 other)
Paladin tank (most of a paladin tank's damage is magic, that's how to keep threat)
Stack casters and ranged on fire and keep singed at 25 as a priority.
Stand in beams when possible (this includes melee, but is not as big a priority as those 50%-buffed casters)
Whenever someone has Stormcloud, run to Ranged and provide the buff.
Hero after the first storm power and with Singed at 25.

Does this work for people?

Couple of notes:
We should have 1 of: unholy DK, balance druid, warlock, for the enhanced magic dmg debuff.
We could try and trade Ret Paladins and Enhancement shamans for our rogues/warriors, to stack our melee with magic dmg as well.

I believe that the toasty fire buff will be granted to those who stand near the fire, but will only cover a maximum of X people (ie, whole raid can stack on top of it, but not everyone will have the buff). Priority should be given to DPS casters. (i'm not actually certain about this, or if there really is a max coverage for the fire)

Do we know how much time it took us to do Hodir before?
Is there a way to have DBM tell us the quickest time in my record for a particular boss?

Hit /dbm, then load your Ulduar boss info. It'll show you all your kill times.

I'm told that to do this hard mode, you need to average about 6k dps per DPS character (we'd be doing it with 1 tank, 7 DPS, 2 healer). About 2-3 casters plus one extra magic DPS in melee should be good, and our melee should be doing 4k+

Cazi is currently frostfire, but we might be better if Cazi goes back to arcane if we have somebody to maintain the +crit bonus (another mage with Scorch or Winter's Chill or a warlock with Improved Shadowbolt).

Yay holy$hitomgdps!
We had a lot of buffs from the fight, like storm cloud, light columns, plus heroism certainly helped. Certainly a lot of fun tho.
