I see a potential point of contention with raid extensions that we should probably address sooner rather than later. I'm concerned that some people might want to extend raids until we clear the raid, both to get better loot and to see later fights, while others will want to reset weekly to gear up faster (rather than wiping on harder bosses). I fall pretty firmly in the former, but I can see the point of the latter.
One solution is to have a progression night and a gearing night (like we did in BC). Progression night could extend until the raid is cleared, while gearing night could extend or not as folks desire. I think we have enough alts that this would work.

i think we're safe from this issue with the new instance because it will be relatively short. No trash + only 5 bosses right?
Even when working on the later progression bosses (say #4) we can safely let the instance reset, redo the first 3 bosses, and continue working on the later ones.
Raid extention will be useful in longer instances with lots of trash (only ulduar). I don't think anyone will complain about missing out on Flame laviathan loot when Badges of Conquests are flowing like water.
