WWS question

Post by hung »

Is WWS a report of everything that happens or is it a parse of an individual's combat log? Basically, does it have the similar foibles as dmg meters?

It's everything that happens up to a point - it only reports what it can see, so the #1 example of it breaking is on Gothik, where the groups are far enough apart that you don't see each other's actions.

interesting... WWS' point of view, i'm assuming, is the person who's running the records?

Yeah I think so. Since Brad (Chamomile) is the one who's been posting the reports, I assume the records are gathered from his character's point of view. So I'd think in the case of Gothik the harvester, since Chamomile is generally on the "dead" side of the room, the data collected from the "live" side is probably not adequate because we're too far apart. I would assume there is probably a similar issue with part of the Four Horsemen fight as well...

Also it appears that if I've been raised as a ghoul by a DK, my damage while being a ghoul is part of my character's report, not that of the DK who raised me. However, I heard that hunter pets have their own record... I'm not entirely sure though.
