Replenishment

I can't decide what's best. If we have enough Replenishments on our raid, I should maximize my personal dps, but if not I should add it. What's your opinion on the matter? Without it, through other talents my dps increases by about 50-100, raid-buffed.

Voted 'Don't care', 'cause you should play how you want. DPS is good, but 100% replenishment is also good too. Also 'cause it's less of an issue for me since I'm one of the other replenishment peoples.

Current replenishment sources:

Saerra (near-100% attendance)
Chamomile (near-100% attendance)
Devinoch (near-100% attendance)
Norfolk (40-50% attendance)

Coming up in 3.1:
Lisseromen (infrequent attendance)
Twistgibber (frequent attendance)
Mandoz (????)

I figure you're fine, really.

I voted that you should take it, but only because I'm a mana-whoring mage.

But seriously, for our 25 mans, I think we're generally maxed out.

P.S. Grats on the full clear of Naxx-25 on Tuesday! Sorry I missed it.

If you're going Survival, I'd say take the talent, because you will get another 3% increase to your agility on top of the replenishment bonus when 3.1 hits.

Right now, I'd say you could skip it, though.

Voted "Don't Care" - Play how you want to play.

I would find it interesting to know who has mana issues? Any specific classes/specs? It isn't holy priest that's for sure...I can't throw mana away fast enough. ;)

Arcane mages can trade off damage and mana, so the more mana, the more dps.

For the most part, Survival hunters are fine with mana, though I was potting and going into Viper for brief periods on boss fights during that run, but we all decided it was most likely due to not having JoW up (which hunters disproportionately take advantage of - though somewhat less advantage come 3.1 since all ticks of Explosive Shot will no longer return mana, which, let's be honest, was ridiculous.)

They are changing replenishment and also a few other things on the Survival tree, so it's up in the air at this point if not taking it will be as much of a dps boost. We'll see.

Yah, 3.1's going to be odd with healers and mana too. The 5sr is going away (or changing, I'm not exactly clear on the details?), but so far in the specs they seem to possibly be way over-compensating. Meditation's at 50% now, and Clearcasting is turning into an additional 50% boost for like 10 seconds.

Personally I'm going to be sad to see the 5sr go... Gaming it took skill (ok, not so much in Wrath but it did in BC) and is/will have been one of the player aspects that separated the best from the simply well geared.
