They laid out a long of their plans for the future. I can say that 1.2 is going to be a flippin' MASSIVE patch. Much larger than 1.1. I remember 1.1 hitting and shrugging it off.
Interesting tidbits:
* Affection with ship droids? Interesting
* Guild Banks! Yeah!
* Limited time trading of BoP items is coming
* Group Finder coming in 1.3, same server only -- omg omg omg omg dungeon finder, how much I've missed you
* Crapton of stuff for the legacy system
- When a class finishes their 2nd arc, it unlocks the classes buff to all alts
- When a class finishes their 3rd arc, it unlocks their 20m heroic skill to all alts
- Sprint to level 1 -- omg yes yes yes
- A bunch of other stuff like GTN/repair/mail box on ship, legacy banking, etc
* Economy stuff
- Interesting stat: 16% of characters have > 1m credits and most characters have around 400k.
- 57%/43% faction split favoring the empire -- As we always knew, make the evil side pretty and they'd be more popular.
- Currently, Artifice is the most popular skill, followed by Biochem
- Class distribution – SI is most popular while IA/SM are least played
- Augment crafting
- Lowering training costs on all speeder training
- 1.2 will let you know IF you can RE something and if there’s anything to learn
My last thought is that multi-spec will be unlocked via legacy. I don't understand this personally. To me multi-spec is a key feature to endgame play. It revolutionized wow raiding. It allowed the flexibility for a 10man raid to reconfigure mid-instance to anything form 1-2tank or 2-3 healer depending on boss requirements. Legacy is something to promote alt-play. They did say that a lot of the legacy stuff will be purchasable or unlockable.
In any case, click on the link. It's worth a read.
