Stones of Jordan found their niche because they were a) rare and b) consumable. These are not consumable (in the traditional sense... you only need one per character), so there will be an initial flurry of activity where people who are willing to buy them gold from people who want the gold but are willing to spend dollars find each other. Then the supply and the demand will die down and it will be hard to find buyers.

I mean, have you seen the rare pet market recently? The same rare parrots and hatchlings sit on the AH for weeks if not months at a time with no buyers.
