moonkin follies

I'm in a reminiscing mood atm, so I regale you all of a tale of a poor newly spec'd moonkin named Luin.

I raided the back half of BC as moonkin. This happened the day I respeced.

Forms use the stance bar. Bear=1, cat=3, cheetah=4 etc. Back then and still to today, I swap between forms using the keyboard shortcuts (control-Fn).
Well, the snag comes when spec between Feral and Balance/Resto. When you spec from Feral to Balance/Resto, you gain another form. This new form is snuck between cheetah and Flight Form.

So I'm flying about. I think it was in Nagrand, and I fly over the horde city there. Before I realize anything is up, I'm guard marked and they knock me out of form. Now to any other class, this usually means death. To a druid, it just means you shift back into form, stick your birdy little tongue out at the horde guard and fly on your merry way.

So there I was falling. No problem, just need to shift forms. Muscle memory kicks in and I hit control-F5.

I'm still falling.

I hit space. I hit space again. I start spamming space.

I'm still falling.

FLY DAMNIT FLY

Something is wrong. Spamming space is indeed flapping my wings, but it is not helping.

**SPLAT**

Muscle memory shifted me into moonkin form.

I can just see how this would look to a horde standing and watching.
A druid flys in and gets knocked out of form.
A large flightless birdlike form appears in the middle of the sky and starts hopelessly flapping his wings...
slowly at first and getting faster and faster as the inevitable doom of the ground came ever closer.
