A couple friends from Duskwood

I spoke with a few friends today who were transferring over to Uldum from their old server Duskwood and looking for a good home. There are 5 or 6 of them in total, 2 tanks 2 healers and the others dps. They aren't hardcore players, but our Tuesday, Thursday schedule matches with their playtime as well. They aren't fully decked out from completing heroics yet, but are working on them this weekend. I passed along the forum page to them so hopefully they will be able to make their introductions shortly.

They haven't been able to post yet due to their registration not being completed. Is there some response that's needed by the webmaster to approve their accounts?

I believe Brad (Chamomile) has to approve them. Let him know and they'll get approved.

Hi Norfolk,

Thanks for the intro. Our group recently transferred from Horde>Duskwood. We've played a few realms over the years, switching from Ally to Horde and now back. We're a small group of RL friends who have been playing together since early 2005. Lately, we've been working our way through the heroic 5-man content, and a few of us are ready to try out some 10-man raids. We'd love to merge with your guild and fill out an alts raid team a couple of nights a week. Look for our character names, or our guild "Easy Raiders".

My characters on Uldum are heals and dps:
Leechya 85 Draenei Priest Holy/Shadow 525 Mining/530 Jewelcrafting
Lanine 85 Worgen Hunter Beast Master/Marksmanship 540 Skinning/525 Leatherworking
Yinene 85 Night Elf Rogue Assassination 525 Herbalism/525 Alchemy

Sorry for the approval delay. I tend to not activate accounts until I see someone in the roster that matches the name here due to a huge influx of spam bots recently.

Anyway, welcome!

Welcome to Schadenfreude!

We don't have a separate alts raid, not formally anyway. Our main raiding is Tuesday/Thursday @8pm Pacific time, everything else is spontaneous. Being a casual friends-and-family guild of raiders, we don't track attendance or "dkp," though we do have simple loot rules. Tuesday we generally have enough for 25-man raids, Thursday is much more iffy currently- rarely we have enough for 25, and occasionally there's not enough for 10.

IMHO, if you can do heroics, you are geared enough to join us raiding, and we can certainly give a few crafted epics to boot. We also love stroking our neck beards while viewing statistics porn; if you have any concern about your first forays into raiding, beyond learning the dance steps, we can look at the numbers and armory and come up with helpful suggestions.

Interestingly, we do have a Horde-side guild made just to house our alts, and engage in acts of smuggling and conspiracy- but <West Indies Company> is not even much of a levelling guild, much less for heroic/raider types. Just an aside, since you said you transferred from Horde.

Hello All,

Norfolk thanks for creating the post and getting us registered with the site.

As Leechya has said, we have moved around a bit during our WoW careers. We played Alliance on Llane during vanilla, played Horde on Duskwood for Burning Crusade and Wrath. For Cataclysm we felt like a change and decided to play Alliance again. Since both Duskwood and Llane were EST based servers, we normally played with the late night raiding guilds. We chose Uldum as it was designated a PST server with a lively population.

Since we all know each other through work, mutual friends or family, we have a very easygoing approach to gaming. Most of us play for about 5-10 hrs a week, with some exceptions. Primarily we’ve been working our way through normal and heroic content.

For myself I have a few 85’s here on Uldum

Gilaim - enhancement / restoration shaman (alchemy / mining)
Dolgal – protection / retribution paladin (jewel crafting / mining)
Gnomely – destruction / affliction warlock (engineering / jewel crafting)

As Leechya said, we’re looking to merge with a larger guild to fill out an ALT raiding team. I know a several of us would be very interested in helping out on progression raiding if required, but others prefer to enjoy the content in a less hectic / pressured environment. So we were hoping you may have some ALTs that would be interested in gearing up and thus be up to running some of the initial 10 man raid content for fun and epics.

Appreciate the help in getting us setup on your forums and look forward to hearing from you,

Wayne

Daewen,
Thank you for the response. Several of us would love to help out with progression raiding and have experience with 40, 25 and 10 person raiding from Vanilla through to Wrath. We're currently playing Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from ~8-11. Tues / Sunday is (Chris, Jeannette, Mike, Chuck and I.) and Friday / Saturday (Chris, Jeannette, Cheryl, Kate and I). I'm using real names since we all have alts and we trade off tanking, healing and dps roles.

Tanks - Ivahr / Dolgal
Healers - Maruka, Leechya and off spec healing Ivahr / Gilaim

So we can easily change up our schedule to accomodate yours and fill out any roles you require.

thanks,
Wayne.

Welcome! :)

Hopefully I'll be able to run with you guys since I've been taking a sorta break from just WoWing in general. :) I'd like to do more heroics with my druid Tsukiki (Balance/Resto spec main) and I am currently SLOOOWLY leveling my tank, Mamoru (Prot/Ret spec main). I have a priest, but I dunno if I wanna level her to 85. :) She's Meiko and Holy/Shadow spec.

Nice intros! :)

And YAY more gals in the guild!: )
