Just verified that the 10,000 flask achievement counts WOTLK flasks(at least frost wyrm). Also, seems that making 1 set of 2 WOTLK flasks count as two for the achievement. If you have some spare mats for WOTLK flasks, I'd break them out and start making flasks

I'd hazard to guess that procs count towards this as well, so we may want to have flask masters do the work here

edit: ok, wowhead comments confirm that procs count and confirm all the big flasks from WOTLK work(pure mojo, endless rage, stoneblood, frost wyrm, etc)

Also confirmed, made one of everything. The ones that use frost lotus will work, the other smaller ones won't and yup, procs count as I found out with my elixir alchemist!

I shall send my supply of Frost and even Fel Lotuses over to you, Hildur!

I've turn all my LK herbs into ink, but I do have a bunch of lotuses. I put them in tab 2 of the G.B. If black lotuses will help, I have some of those lying around as well.

I've tested it and the flasks made with black lotus or fel lotus do not work. It's just the frost lotus flasks and the cata flasks. Got a fair amount of the frost lotus now, but am out of icethorn and lichbloom atm. I am keeping an eye on the AH for cheap orbs/lotus/herbs.

You mean the LK flasks no longer work? Your previous post said that BC didn't work, so seems redundant to say so again.

They didn't completely nerf it. They lowered the amount to get Mix Master to 1k flasks and 3k flasks for 25 man version.

Tonia just made a single cata flask and we got the achievement. She also just bought a ton of deathblood venom for 24s. People skill up on it, so keep an eye on the AH as people don't realize the value.

Reviving this topic after talking to Terry... I'm going to help farm some Azshara's Veil for the achievement. Maybe an hour a day, more if I'm bored. Last night I got about 100 Azshara's Veil and 30 Lifes (plus other stuff) in just under an hour's time.

We are just under 1200 flasks short of the achievement as of now. At the new formula of "8 lifes x 8 herb A x 8 herb B" as of the upcoming patch 4.0.6, plus to make enough of the 4 different types of flasks to be able to make the current Cauldron and the new Big Cauldron, we will need approximately (assuming 1200 flasks total):

9600 Volatile Lifes (that's 480 stacks of 20)
19200 Cinderbloom (960 stacks)
19200 Twilight Jasmines
19200 Azshara's Veil
19200 Whiptail

But don't mass make them into flasks yet until 4.0.6 drops.
If you guys already have saved up some large inventory of herbs that you plan to make flasks in the near future, please drop a note.

How does flask procs count towards the achievement? I would expect them to count towards the number due to the wording. Make X flasks. You paid 1x mats and made 5 flasks, you still made 5 flasks.

Any word if elixir spec'd alcs can proc cauldrons? I'd think not because they are not themselves an elixir... but using it causes a flask buff, so maybe
