Tentitive cataclysm release date

The board has been quiet for a while, so I thought I'd liven things up. I saw this on MMO champions this morning.
So, when is the release of Cataclysm?
Now that Patch 4.0.1 is on PTR, I get a lot of mails asking for a release date and I guess I can answer that without too much risk now.
Keep in mind that Blizzard didn't announce it because the release can still be postponed, but as far as I know the target release date for Cataclysm is the first week of November (that would be November 2, if you like numbers). The first part of the Cataclysm prologue started exactly 8 weeks before that and the next part of the pre-Cataclysm event will probably happen in 2 or 4 weeks depending on their schedule.
You got your answer, and hopefully people won't yell at me if something goes wrong.

http://www.mmo-champion.com/ has a new guess for the Cataclysm. Still not holding my breath till I see the tidal wave.
Cataclysm Release Date Postponed (Not Official)
A few weeks ago I announced that the target release date for Cataclysm was November 2. Well, according to an update I just got, the release has been postponed and Blizzard will try to release the game in early December. (Basically, either December 7 or December 14)
The Cataclysm by itself will happen earlier and will let you play in the "new" zone for a couple of days/weeks before you can buy the expansion and access the level 85 content. Keep in mind that they're mostly inside info, they're not official and I just report them because ... well, I'm sure you all want to know when it's supposed to happen.

I've read some things that suggest the Amazon ship date is a bit silly. Also, even if Cataclysm is delayed, it looks like patch 4.0.1 could come fairly soon.

If Tuesday the 5th starts patch 4.0.1, that's also going to introduce the
Flexible Raid Lock System, and as per the blue post they're applying it to ICC and RS.
***** Edit: Blue has confirmed that it doesn't affect 10/25 loot or 10/25 achievements.
I think I should go back to the PTR and check I know how to play my class after 4.0

So not that this will affect us this THAT much, but if they put the 1 lock per 10/25... we can run one ICC10 or 25 but get the same old 10 or 25 gear. Kinda a bummer.
It would take work to reitemize ICC... time which is much better spent elsewhere.
