Hey guys, we didn't have a 2009 barbecue, but this coming year, I'd like to get ambitious!

There are two suggestions open for Schadenfreude get-togethers:

- Schadencon, a Las Vegas get-together (maybe we could time it with Blizzcon?) on either Blizzcon dates or Memorial Day weekend.
- Schadenfreude BBQ II: The Wrath of Dom, a less expensive outing for Bay Area Schadenfreuders who can't spare a full weekend.

Any weigh-ins on timing, attendance, interest, etc.? Let's get planning now!

I'll just mention that while attending blizzcon, there's a lot to see and do there, but evenings would be the time to form up and raid for food. And I'd say we should do that in addition to a bbq, be it Nor- or So-Cal, just to have a full day to hang out.

I'd say, with the big assumption that Blizzcon is indeed going to be in Vegas and is gonna be Friday & Saturday, that Schadencon Food Raid has to be at night, and probably can go on late for those who need no sleep and no need to observe the midnight rule Might also be up for smaller impromptu randoms the day before and after depending on people's arrival plans.

I'm personally up for another large bbq.

That said, Katy and I would try to make any and all get-togethers. We might try to do a SoCal one, too, for people who can't make the NoCal one.

If we can have enough advanced notice and school is out. Scott and I would like to make it over. Leave the kiddies with grandparents perhaps.

I'm in. I just need enough advance notice to be able to plan around it.

Okay, let's put forth some tentative dates.

How about Labor Day for Schadencon Las Vegas?

And Memorial Day for the traditional Bay Area BBQ?

Are there any major commitments you guys have that would suggest other 3-day weekends being used instead?

I'm in for get togethers. In fact, I'd be up for just meeting for dinner or something more frequently for folks in the Bay Area.

Bump. This has been mentioned on vent recently, and now that Blizzcon dates are announced (Oct 22-23 Anaheim CA) we can plan around that too. Heck, we could do the Vegas thing where Blizz ain't >.> Anyways, more planning needed!
