all my DK in da house

Been fun raiding again the last couple weeks. I think I finally have my rotation set and have a couple of new pieces to bump my dps a bit. Been out of the loop a bit so I'll ask here and see if I can get a quick answer.

In ToC 5 and/or 10/25 where can I safely and effectively use AotD?

Also, any other tips and tricks for me?

The only thing an AotD ghoul won't taunt is a raid boss. Everything else that it can see, it will taunt and leap at.

Somewhere in the EJ DK forum there are posts describing the what fights you can blow AotD on for dps boost, and similarly when to pop AMS and tiptoe through the flames/voidzones to get a hit of RP for more dps burst.

So in other words, I think you can safely use AotD when there's a single raid boss in the fight with no adds.

In ToC 10/25, I think Army would be great for the faction fight.

The usual spots for AotD as far as I know (I just know when the other DKs do it):

Dead time during the switches in Twin Jormungar
Just before Faction Champions pull
Anub'Arak submerge phase

Better is where NOT to do it.

For raids:
As a general rule - if trash needs to be facing a particular direction, don't do it.
If the boss fight has adds that need to be controlled in a particular way, don't do it.
ToC10/25 specifically, don't do it on Jarraxus. Don't do it on Anub when the burrowers are up. The rest of the instance is fair game.

For 5-mans, don't do it if the boss has a breath attack, or a tail swipe. Otherwise, i think it's all fair game, although tanks are prima donnas and don't like it when things aren't hitting them.
