There's still gear in Ulduar that's not obtainable via badge? EDIT: Yeah, can see interest in Ulduar slacking off considerably post-patch.

There are a lot of sexy changes in the 3.2 patch notes. Hunter traps on separate cooldowns :O

The real advantage to heroics, Naxx, and soon Ulduar will be that 'gearing up' for the Coliseum, for people who havn't been on the bleeding edge of progression. People who are just hitting 80, or an alt, or who took a break for a patch or two, will no longer have to run heroics for a bit, then run naxx/os/maly, then a little ulduar... you can run any combination of the 3, buy some badge gear, and get caught up.

BUT, I think that in that gearing up process, those runs will be valuable for the additional gear/upgrades so that you don't have to buy them.

Now, of course anyone who has been on the progression runs won't have as much interest in the older runs, but that's not really unusual.

I'm most stoked about the new emblems not differentiating between 10/25 mans.

Yeah, and I appreciate the simplification. Keeping track of which badges are for what can get confusing since they're all named generically...

Now that you mention it, there's rather important gear whose level cannot (currently) be matched via badges... main weapons.

Yeah, there are a number of pieces that badges don't provide for me (at least in no way close to best in slot) So I'd still run ulduar (Although frankly, the 10man gear isn't really beating our 25man naxx stuff..)

It will give a shot in the arm to instance running. Right now there isn't a lot of incentive for people to run heroics except to gear up alts, so Blizzard will be able to get a little bit of longevity out of them.

It does beg the question though....If we saw a large enough rush from when Uldaar came out to the point where the instance server overloaded and people couldn't get into any instances on the continent, what will happen with this move?
