As some may know, i've been developing carpel tunnel (curse you heroic strike!). So short of stoping wow, i've been trying to be a bit more ergo aware in how i play. To this end i've invested in some gamer gear like a hand keyboard and a better mouse. Thing is, i'm not proficient with it yet and i end up using my old keyboard while raiding!

Anyway... that was all a preface for me looking for new UI addons. i'm trying to reorganize my multitude of buttons in a logical way to help me transition to my hand keyboard.

i know theres a couple of actionbar grouping addons... got any you'd care to recommend?

Dominos. Up to 10 bars of 12 buttons, each able to be key-mapped, including to standard buttons/mousewheel. For extra controls though, generally you have to have the device map the button to a key-press combination. Like I have various thumb controls on my mouse that I mapped to control-home, end, pgup, pgdn, etc, and use those for some of my bars. Bars can further be scaled, faded, or conditionally hidden.

What I found that was killing my hands was mostly the shield block and heroic strike spam. I was spamming the button maybe a dozen times before the GCD was up just to make sure I hit heroic strike and shield block every time they were up.

The best way I found was to have a way that'll plainly show you that you can hit heroicstrike again, without having to spam it a million times. What I did was use my favorite barmod (I used bartender, but domino will probably work the same way) and make a bar solely for Heroic strike and increase the size and put it up near the middle of the screen somewhere as unobtrusive as possible. That way it's a bit larger and you can hit it only once per GCD instead of a dozen. You can use any combination of mods to make this easier like omnicc or power auras, but that's basically the gist of it.

On the Heroic Strike issue, since I was rarely ever rage starved on my warrior, I just made macros for all my major abilites.

I.E. for devastate, I used:
/cast Devastate
/cast Heroic Strike

this queues up HS whenever you use devastate, which is nice, since I tend to just mash devastate unless shield slam or revenge is up.

I did the same thing with shield slam and revenge.
