My excursion to LFR last night was paaaainful. What's left of my faith in the wow playerbase evaporated... For my next LFR run, i'm bringing my League of Legend attitude, where the folks on your team are 10x more likely to troll you than your opponents.
Also, i hate how long queue lines are for tanks

.

The 5th boss is the real test, he's the most technical boss in the instance IMO. His LFR version isn't that bad, but if your group wipes more than once or twice(assuming someone explains the fight at all), I recommend leaving immediately, because they're very bad.

The problem with LFR is that 90% of the time it's a zerg fest. Blizz says you should be able to at least learn mechanics to practice, but it just doesn't happen most of the time. IMO. I just don't enjoy being yelled at for pulling dogs apart which is what you're supposed to do.

Elegon you have to at least learn the basic idea of the fight, or you die when the floor opens up.
Will of the Emperor and Gara'jal aren't too bad either. Stone Guard, Feng, and Spirit Kings are all definitely zerg fests in LFR though.

Ironically, I feel groups with low dps are learning the fights better, since they have to. High perfomance (healing/dps) groups are definitely powering through a lot of mechanics.
I wouldn't bother trying to do the stone guards 'properly' in LFR. Think it took Dorian and I 3~4 attempts before we got the hang of it... and we've been tanking together for how many years? Good luck getting that co-ordination down with a pug.

Kinda moot anyways, since we managed to get it down already, and I don't think the other dog combinations should give us much more trouble.
That said, there are some mechanics that can be practiced 'solo', which i would recommend:
LFR Feng is a great place for tanks to practice the encounter mechanics, even if the rest of the raid is oblivious. (thx dorian for pointing it out)
LFR Gara'jal (boss #3) is a great place for DPS to practice the phased mechanic (even if you end up being the only one participating).
LFR Elegon people have already pointed out teaches you how to not fall to your death. I would also point out that it'll strain your machine's graphics if you're on an older computer. Better to find out your frame rate will drop to single digits in LFR than in a real encounter.
LFR Will of the Emperor is a great place for tanks/melee to practice dealing with the cleave combo. Even if you're the only one that bothers with it, that's a skill we'll want for the real fight.

Oh god, Devastating Combo. That move kicked my ass when I did Will of the Emperor on LFR. It's hard for me to see the arcs indicating where it's going to strike, I need to find a way to work that out.

Ok, I will be trying to get up to raid ready... I'm way behind though so it may take some time to get geared up.
