Ok, the Saurfang Jr. fight was just as awesome as described. Unfortunately it was pretty late when we got to him (about 2/3 of the delays being my own fault :() and we only got a few tries, so I couldn't quite get used to the Frost Trap rhythm... is it something I should just run up and drop towards the start, and let Junior trigger it? Should I wait some set time after the adds are down? Or do the adds outpace the trap CD, and I should just replace whenever it's available?

Twistgibber and I were pretty much standing at the wings, with the healers at the center back, which helped in keeping track of who was kiting which beast. Should we be clumping up for AoE instead?

And, yes, I am pretty much locked into 2/2 Concussive Barrage until Cataclysm. That beast spawn pattern is just begging for a dazing Multi-Shot. Anyone know how many adds appear on 25-man? :3

We generally have both beasts together. On our 10-man, our setup looked like this:

----B
M--S--T--FT-----------EBT-----------H
----B

Key:

T = Tanks, S = Saurfang, M = Melee, B = Blood Beast spawn points. These won't move unless the currently idle tank wants to taunt an add back over the firing line.
FT = Frost Trap, EBT = Earthbind Totem. We have both of them in a line, so that the adds get dragged there with maximum slows and minimum time out of range.
H = Hunter and Healers. Hunters can Distracting Shot to bring adds to them, while the healers will naturally get aggro. You do want to spread out a bit at range for the least Blood Nova splash, but you can do that in front of each other - Hildur especially was running around like a maniac.

We had two mages and an elemental shammy as extra ranged - Dengeki stood next to EBT (for obvious reasons) while the mages were spread out one to each side.

5. On 25-man, we'll probably AoE, but on 10-man we just single-target them down.

I was getting hit by some kind of Blood debuff that appeared to chain to multiple players around me. So I made the mistake of moving off to the side a bit, which of course (as a healer) can screw things up a little bit by causing the attacking mobs to move off the designated line of attack. I assume we're supposed to just stack up (healers and range dps) and take the chained blood debuff?

Thats Blood Nova, you want to be spread out for that. Every person it hits gives DBS 2 BPs

Blood Nova (2BP gained per target)
? range, Instant Cast. 12yd radius.
Blood explodes outward from a random enemy target, inflicting 10,000 Physical damage to nearby enemies.
With a sufficient number of ranged targets [3 on 10man], DBS will only cast this on ranged raid members (think Vezax shadowcrash). This is why it is vitally important for all ranged members to be spread at least 12yds apart. The damage isn't as much of a concern as is him gaining more than 2BP for using this ability. As can be seen in the video, the ranged were grouped up, resulting in DBS gaining considerable BP from each cast. This is bad. Stay spread out to minimize this ability.

So OK I shiv'ed crippling poison with a 3rd weapon to the adds as previously noted, which went fine for the most part except that I seemed to always get aggro early and had died twice.

So next time, what I can do is: watch blood beast cooldown, when 1 sec left, swap off-hand, trix hunter, run to near add, shiv, run to far add, shiv, swap back off-hand, run back to boss, dps boss, rinse and repeat. Sounds like a lot of work, but should be fairly easy to do, and should be able to stay alive.
