I thought the healing nerf was for melee. it applies to all who have the talent.

that fight has some unique gimicks: no mana regen for casters or healers.
hunters, enh. shamans, and ret paladins (physical dps with mana bars) still get their mana regen stuff, BUT if they can heal (paladin/shamans) they get their heals gimped.

The second clause is specificaly to conteract what the blog i linked was talking about.

hmm, I was not aware that ret paladins/enhancement shamans actively had a healing debuff during that fight.
