From MMO:
"So on the first little island they might be fighting one of his tentacles, and then they have to fly to the next island and now they’re fighting a leg and then they fly to the next island and they’re fighting another big tentacle."
Great, Deathwing has gone all old god/hentai anime/Cthulu on us. >.>;
From Joystiq:
"Chilton says the game's designers have been "hacking" the engine ever since the classic Onyxia fight. "When you fought Onyxia in the air, that was a huge amount of us jury rigging. That involved all kinds of stuff like spawning invisible bunnies on the ground that she could use to actually cast her Deep Breath on, stuff like that."
THAT is why the deep breaths were so random? Bunnies?

That part about invisible bunnies is actually quite humorous. It kind of hit close to home. An application engineer at my work used to play WoW and is notorious for juryrigging our code in interesting ways. It usually pisses me off (the programmer). Eventually I turn around and hand him a better way of doing it. He will then take that for future juryrigging. I sent him this article and he got a kick out of it. It isn't just at blizzard that this happens. It must be a constant struggle between the core devs and support devs everywhere.
I wouldn't be surprised if I see an email about him and him juryrigging using invisible bunnies in the future =]
