WoW remote + ingame chat

As you might have seen ( http://us.battle.net/wow/en/blog/2653949#blog ), we recently rolled out an update to our iPhone and iPod touch Mobile Armory app that adds the ability to chat with your guild mates directly from your mobile device. We wanted to make sure we have a consolidated place where you can report bugs and offer us feedback on the features after trying Remote Guild Chat during the free preview period.

Before posting, here’s some info on a couple of the hot topics we’ve seen:

An update to the Android Remote Auction House app is scheduled to come out in the next few days that’ll grant access to guild chat. We know you want it; it’s coming real soon.

Realms are being rolled out in stages, and our goal is to make the feature available on all realms within roughly a week’s time. If your realm isn’t available, please hang tight. It won’t be long.


If you have the app and have been able to try guild chat on the currently supported realms, let us know what you think: Have you run into any issues? Any bugs you’ve been able to reproduce? What about the feature itself -- how do you like it? Any thoughts on how we can make it better?

So we should have it within a week. From a closer read, it says it'll be available on iphone/android. The web is not listed. It is listed for the remote AH. I guess I don't need even MORE distractions at work.

This went live on Friday evening on Uldum. It's really quite good. Android app incoming, apparently.

The android app got a face lift. It's MUCH closer to the IOS app. It's a armory app as well remote AH. Does the IOS app have status on the guild? This app seems to only list the guild members, but not list the guild status.

I tried to install the app on my XOOM and couldn't log on. It might be that the app isn't honeycomb (android 3.0) ready, or that you can only log on with the device that your authenticator is attached to.
EDIT: can't log on with my phone either... doesn't look like it's an honeycomb issue

I think I'll subscribe to wow remote and give it a shot.

I was reading through the blue posts on the wow in-game chat feedback thread. This one just made me giggle.

I'm having the same issue, can't login at all. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app and also restarted my phone but still getting the armory undergoing maintenance erorr.

Sertab, the "maintenance" error you are receiving right now is not a bug. You do not need to uninstall and reinstall your app. The Armory is, in fact, currently under maintenance. I unfortunately cannot provide any details beyond that at this time.
