Good, targeted battle-rez was one of the few non-shared abilities. Of course, this puts the dk in the same boat druids were for the first 2 xpacs... only having a rez on a cooldown. I wonder how long and how much bitching it'll take until they get a OOC rez. Do you have an ability to generate 50 runic power quickly?

Feral druids are probably still better suited to BR... our mana is not useful. Runic power is more useful to a DK. Mana is useful to resto/moonkin druids. Of course the loss of dps to run around to find the dead person, wait for the appropriate time to rez them is much greater than any loss of resources.

Although highly annoying in game terms... it'd be neat if the DK rez'd ally died again when combat ended.... because they really were just undead =]

I will miss ghoul explosion.

So between rune tap, death strike and now having a brez...do I count as 10% of a healer :-p

Raise Ally has been redesigned to be a battle resurrection, analogous to Rebirth. It is instant cast, but costs 50 Runic Power to use, and has a 10-minute cooldown. It shares the same global battle resurrection cap with Rebirth and Soulstone.
Utility? in my Dk? I can see it now:

"Why did you brez me in front of the cleave?" "Oh. Right. That."
Hahahahaha, me thinks you'd probably want to brez someone who isn't in front of the boss :)

... Have you used brez? Maybe realize what would happen if the tank brez'd someone during a fight? 1 + 1 = ?

Come to think of it, I suppose the scenario's come up before, just with an even smaller window of opportunity (Bear tank having to switch to squishyform to rez someone).

It doesn't become an issue nearly as often for trees or chickens, but Rebirth marks the exact point that you were standing when you finished the cast and respawns the dead guy there. When casting Rebirth melee druids have to either back away (for Cats) or, uh, pray (for naked Bearcasting).

Now give that spell to a class that does nothing but melee, and you'll understand why I'm gonna be paying real close attention to the name of who's rezzing me and where the boss is moving while I'm dead. :)

I have a question about the current Raise Ally. Do you stand up, or do you raise at the DK?

Just because rebirth brings you to the druid, doesn't mean Raise Ally will. You may just stand up.

Oh and you guys did bring up a very good point about druids having to cast rebirth in caster form. It'll be unfortunate if druid tanks can't BR and DKs can... but like Danny said, it is an undesirable situation because you're likely to be rez'd into a cleave.

For those who are wondering as of current Raise Ally makes you stand up where your corpse was, not on top of the person who cast it on you.
