I may or may not have a half dozen people in tow so it probably wont be practical to merge the groups for dinner. But i'm not sure yet, it'll take me another day or so to confirm before I can commit.

I think our best bet would be the place that Wynne recommended, Catal.

C/P from Wynne's post:

If we're talking about downtown Disney, Catal is really good but it is also easily $30+ per person.
Their menu is a single page PDF:

The other possibility is the Cheesecake Factory, but going there with a big group usually ends in tears.

Thoughts?

If you're looking for something around the Downtown Disney area, there's also the Garden Walk which is across the street from Disneyland.

They have places like 300 Anaheim, which has bowling, food & a bar to provide you with some alternative activities besides just food while hanging out. Or there's the movie theater there with recliners for each seat if you opt for the 21+ section which has a bar & snacks.

Just trying to help out with a few options for those not too familiar with the area as I won't be able to make it to this get together but wanted to try and help a bit since I lived in Anaheim for a few yrs.

After looking at options, I'm also eyeing McCormick and Schmick's (seafood, but they have non-seafood as well, like steak), and Fire and Ice (pretty much Americanized Mongolian BBQ, but they look to have combinations for everyone).

I'm in the same boat as Tony.... as in I would rather avoid the "fusion" cuisine. Also, cheesecake factory would indeed be a nightmare as the wait is normally 60 mins for places that are NOT near disneyland. I can't imagine how long the wait would be around disneyland. I've been to the ESPN Zone there a few times. Not very good. There's a RainForest Cafe there. Never been to this one, but I've seen the parrots.

I am actually not going to blizzcon. And I will be at work on Friday maybe watching the live stream while at work.
Saturday I'll probably be at home as well not doing anything in particular other than playing WoW and watching the live stream.

Have we actually decided which day to meet up? And time? Looking at the schedule, it seems that there's no time for food during con hours unless you're willing to miss stuff, such as the quarterfinals of the tournament stuff if we wanna do "normal hours" for dinner. Or we can do late night stuff. Also, we don't need to limit ourselves to just Anaheim...

If we're doing late night, perhaps we can go back to Pocky's old neighborhood for some yummy yakitori house. Or we can go to Fountain Valley for Shinsengumi ramen. Just random thoughts. I'm sure we have cars.

Actually more like I just want the murloc pet.
OOOOOooooOOOhhhh... about the pet... I went to blizzcon.com/pet, logged in to my battlenet account and then saw this:

"This item will be sent to all characters associated with this Battle.net account that are also associated with the participating regions. World of Warcraft items will be sent to a character's in-game mailbox. Please make sure the character has inventory space available when redeeming promotional items."

:D :D :D :D :D

Oh and the reason i went to the website was because of some goodybag pictures I saw on WoW.com, where it had instructions on how to redeem pet.

Unless someone is against it, I think we should hit the Fire and Ice restaurant on Saturday night.

Here's my idea:

Dinner set for 9:00 p.m. (time for travel, etc.)
Meet at the restaurant at 8:45 p.m.
Enjoy dinner and each others company
Go home happy and full

I have no objection with fire and ice, though never been there.

Someone should make a reservation after we get a firm list of people who can make it. 9PM sounds fine, as long as Ozzy doesn't do too many encores and ends the closing on time at 8:30PM. If people are walking, it should take about 15 minutes. Driving is supposed to take like 3 minutes. But then there might be a lot of traffic / people leaving at that time, plus getting out of parking lot could take as long as 15 minutes...

In any case, if we'll going there, I'll just meet you guys at the restaurant.

Well, I'm not planning on staying for the concert; loud concerts aren't my thing. So I'll be wandering about, and I might just go there and wait for a while. I don't know yet. ^^;

I'm going to make the reservation tomorrow assuming no major changes.

So far, definites are now:
